November 10 commemorated as The Heroes Day for Indonesia. Historically, at the year of 1945 Indonesian peoples at Surabaya together with all armed forces involve in a battle against British and Dutch forces. That two colonialism countries try to re-occupy Indonesia which declared its independence at August 17. One high officer of British armed forces named General Brigadier Mallaby died in battle. This make British armed forces angry and launch ultimatum to surrender on November 10. Because of Surabaya peoples refused, they were bombarded from land, air, and sea.
What I want to say in this article is, how the spirit of nation heroes can communicated from generation through generation. Beside taught at school as subject, I think it is good enough to held war drama like usually held in US when they commemorate Civil War. This will be useful because have good side effect beside teaching history to younger generation, it could turn into tourism object.
